Above is an example of a personalised backdrop. It was commissioned and presented as a 40th surprise birthday gift. The customer emailed us a photo of the birthday boy’s beloved first scooter and we incorporated it into a design that paid homage to his love of all things Mod. To add an extra special personalised touch we not only added his initials and date of birth, but more importantly was instructed to include the words “just Crusing” in Lambretta style writing. This deliberate misspelling was a direct reference to how he spelt it many years before on his Parker coat (aren’t friends cruel).

Price £2000

Theme Roomz had to design a Spiderman room that spanned the entire room. The challenge here was to work within the boundary of having a dado rail. So we used a repeat silver spider pattern below the rail to compliment the mural above. The ceiling was brought in with the sky, followed on from the wall murals. The remaining bedroom furniture was painted to incorporate them into the design. The wardrobe was transformed into a skyscraper as a finishing touch.

This room was first painted with a metallic finish emulsion. Then using purpose made stencils a funky repeat pattern was created and a bold black outline was added to finish it off. The alien within the design was recreated from the toy in the picture, showing that the possibilities for repeat patterns are endless. Watch out Laura Ashley!
